Reduced Shank Drill Bits

KnKut Reduced Shank Drill Bits let you drill larger holes than your chuck would normally allow, without buying a bigger drill. The 1/2" Silver & Deming bits (KK12) cover sizes from 9/16" up to 1-1/2" with a 3-flat shank that locks in your chuck and won't slip under load. The 3/8" reduced shank bits (KK38) cover 1/4" to 1/2" for use in standard 3/8" chucks. All are made from hi-molybdenum tool steel with a nitro-carbonized surface treatment that holds an edge at higher drilling temperatures — recommended for stainless steel, titanium alloy, and other hard metals. The 135° split point starts on contact without walking or needing a center punch. Also available: step point reduced shank variants (KK12SP) for no-center-punch starts on larger holes.
