At KnKut, a brand of R.W. Thompson, Inc., we are committed to your complete satisfaction with every product we offer. Our drill bits and cutting tools are proudly made in the USA, and we stand behind the quality of our work.
This return policy applies to purchases made directly through KnKut.com. If you purchased a KnKut product through an authorized distributor or retail partner, please contact that retailer directly, as returns and exchanges are subject to their own policies.
Return Eligibility
Items purchased directly from KnKut.com may be returned within 30 days of delivery, provided the following conditions are met:
- Items must be unused, in original packaging, and in resalable condition.
- Proof of purchase (order number or order confirmation email) is required.
- Items must be returned in their original, undamaged packaging.
- Custom or special-order items are not eligible for return.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned:
- Products that have been used, sharpened, modified, or altered in any way.
- Custom or special-order products.
- Products without original packaging.
- Clearance or final-sale items (clearly marked at the time of purchase).
- Items returned after the 30-day return window.
Warranty vs. Returns
It is important to understand the distinction between a standard return and a warranty claim. They are handled through different processes.
KnKut Product Warranty
All KnKut products carry a 6-month warranty against defects in material and workmanship, administered by R.W. Thompson, Inc. The warranty covers:
- Manufacturing defects present at the time of production.
- Material flaws discovered during normal use within the warranty period.
The warranty does NOT cover:
- Normal wear and tear.
- Misuse or accidental damage.
- Products that have been altered from their original condition.
- Products used beyond their normal useful life.
Important — Drill Bit Warranty Notice
KnKut drill bits are NOT designed to enlarge existing holes. Using KnKut drill bits to enlarge existing holes will void the warranty. KnKut split point drill bits eliminate the need for pilot holes. If a pilot hole is required for your application, drill the smallest possible hole so that only the chisel point of the drill bit engages the material.
Warranty resolution: At KnKut's discretion, warranty claims may be resolved by replacement, repair, or credit. All warranty returns must be shipped freight pre-paid.

Return & RMA Process
To return an item purchased from KnKut.com, please follow these steps:
- Contact Us: Email [email protected] with your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for your return.
- Receive Your RMA Number: A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number will be issued to you via email. Do NOT ship items without an RMA number — unauthorized returns may be refused.
- Pack Your Return: Pack the item(s) securely in the original packaging. Write the RMA number clearly on the outside of the shipping box. Do NOT write on the product packaging itself.
- Ship the Return: Ship the return to the address provided with your RMA authorization. All returns must be shipped freight pre-paid.
Note
KnKut is not responsible for items lost or damaged during return shipping. We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping method with insurance for all returns.
Refund Policy
- Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days after the returned item is received and inspected.
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
- Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to a KnKut error or a defective product.
- You will receive an email confirmation when your refund has been processed.
- Please allow an additional 3–5 business days for the refund to appear on your statement, depending on your financial institution.
Restocking Fee
- A restocking fee of 15% may apply to returned items.
- Restocking fees do NOT apply to defective or incorrectly shipped items.
- The restocking fee will be deducted from your refund amount.
This fee covers the cost of inspection, repackaging, and restocking of returned merchandise.
Exchanges
KnKut is happy to exchange products for a different size or type, subject to availability. To request an exchange:
- Follow the same RMA process described above and indicate the desired replacement item in your email.
- If the replacement item is a different price, the difference will be charged or refunded accordingly.
- Exchanges are subject to the same 30-day eligibility window and condition requirements as standard returns.
Damaged or Defective Items
If you receive a damaged or defective product, please take the following steps:
- Contact [email protected] within 7 days of delivery.
- Include your order number, photos of the damage or defect, and a description of the issue.
- KnKut will provide a prepaid shipping label for the return of damaged or defective items at no charge to you.
- Resolution options include replacement, repair, or full refund, at KnKut's discretion.
For defects discovered during use within the 6-month warranty period, please submit a warranty claim by emailing [email protected] with details and photos of the defect.
